Abstract

Objectives: This research aims to identify the most important phenomena of rhetorical development in terms of methodology and style, and that is what Al-Babarti (786 AH) and Al-Tabrizi (855 AH) produced in their explanations, especially after rhetoric has come a long way in development at the hands of many scholars, even It reached its present state in the eighth century AH.

Methods: In this research, balanced approach was adopted. After describing and analyzing some of the texts contained in the two explanations, I proceeded to draw a balance between them, in order to reach the similarities and differences between the two explanations.

Results: One of the most important results reached by the researcher is that Al-Babarti was more in-depth and discussed the opinions of scholars and responded to or agreed with them. He surpassed Al-Tabrizi in this.

Conclusions: Al-Qazwini’s book (Al-Talkhees) is considered one of the most important books written on Arabic rhetoric, as commentaries on it followed one after the other. I have chosen two of these commentaries to study in this research, especially since these two commentaries have not received their due share of study and research. The researcher finds that the two commentaries are of great importance in the field of rhetorical research, because they sought to clarify many of the ambiguous texts of their predecessors, and this will become clear to anyone who reads the research.
