Objectives: The study aims to explore the effectiveness of the learning dimensions model for teaching Islamic education in developing moral intelligence among elementary-stage students.
Methods: The study adopted the semi-experimental approach, and the study sample consisted of (34) male and female students from the sixth grade at the Leaders International School, affiliated with the Na'ur Brigade. The students were chosen intentionally, and the sample was divided randomly into two groups: an experimental group of (17) students and a control group of (17) students. The moral intelligence scale was applied to them, and it consists of (30) items distributed over (5) areas of virtues (sympathy, self-control, respect, tolerance, and justice (, after verifying their validity and stability.
Results: The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the total score of the moral intelligence scale between the experimental and control groups, where the arithmetic mean of the students in the experimental group in the post-measurement was (4.11) with a standard deviation of (0.29), and the students of the control group, whose scores in the post-measurement averaged (3.53) with a standard deviation (0.32). The results are in favor of the experimental group that studied according to the learning dimensions model.
Conclusions: Based on the results, the study recommends adopting the learning dimensions model in designing lessons and the Islamic education curriculum.
