Objective: This research aims to study rhythm and its manifestations in the poetry of Abu Al-Rabi’ Al-Kala’i al-Andalusi to explore its artistic sublimity from phonetic aspects in synergy with linguistic and rhetorical systems. Rhythm is one of the most important components of poetic creativity, and exploring it highlights the points of distinction in poetic experimentation, thereby enhancing the ability to appreciate its importance.
Methods: The research employs descriptive and analytical methods, exploiting the mechanisms of the stylistic approach to focus on how rhythm is directed to enhance the effect, which allows for revealing the uniqueness of style and its artistic value. The procedural level deals with the rhythm of meter, rhyme, sounds, words, and structures to examine texts by examining the relationship of rhythm to meanings, connotations, and linguistic and rhetorical systems. The importance of the research lies in opening new horizons for studying the poetry of the obscure Andalusians, who are known in literary books for their prowess in writing.
Results: The research shows that the rhythmic cohesion led to the use of sound units that are compatible with the meanings, connotations, and psychological situation enables Al-Kalai’s texts to achieve their influential goals, thus adding beauty that enhances their artistic value.
Conclusions: The research concludes that rhythm, in its connection with linguistic and rhetorical elements, reveals the poetics of Al-Kalai’s texts and reveals the levels of high artistic performance, because it is the primary axis that creates the recipient’s responses to the aesthetics of the vocal and semantic performances. The study recommends semiotic analysis to contribute to understanding the importance of rhythm in creating the semantic depth of meanings.
