Abstract

Objective: This research aims to examine the visual spatial image in the poetry of Umayyah bin Abdulaziz Al-Andalusi, by examining the effectiveness of the artistic formations employed by the poet to draw the kinetic, formal, chromatic, and light dimensions. The visual image and the place communicate with the essence of the literary work, hence the importance of looking at what is rooted in Abi al-Salt's poetry in terms of recalling the place through the artistic image that is processed visually.

Methods: The research uses the stylistic approach that confronts the texts at their linguistic, rhetorical, and phonetic levels. This is for the purpose of discovering the artistic relationships that tighten the bonds of visual spatial imaging in the poetry of Abi Al-Salt Al-Dani, with an indication of its artistic and expressive values, and to clarify its impact on the structure of the context.

Results: The research shows that the visual spatial images gave the context a dynamism that was deepened by the poet's use of language gestures, which is what tightly linked the structures and established the foundations for their remarkable expressive effect.  Therefore, its role was structural, and its presence was central, which made it a fundamental contribution to the condensation of connotations.

Conclusions: The research results in that the poet presented the place through visual images, employing its dimensions to project his subjective visions, referring them to basic directives to generate meanings, enrich semantics, and influence the recipient, which revealed a high level of linguistic and rhetorical proficiency.
