Abstract

Objectives: The study aimed to demonstrate the integrative relationship and effective partnership between education and sustainable development.

Methods: The descriptive analytical method was used, and the research was divided into three main sections. These sections explained the concepts of development, sustainable development, education, and their relationship to achieving sustainable development. Additionally, the role of education in achieving sustainable development was explored.

Results: The researcher concluded that education is one of the most crucial factors for achieving sustainable human development. It was emphasized that education should be linked to work requirements and regarded as a fundamental human right that aims to improve human knowledge and culture. The study highlighted the increasing importance of education in cultural, economic, and social development, considering it a global determinant that significantly impacts economic transactions and contemporary international relations.

Conclusions: Based on the findings, the study recommended incorporating education and human development courses into the curricula of college and university students, tailored to their respective specializations. It emphasized the importance of considering the dimensions of sustainable development and drawing from international experiences to enhance local development and bring about sustainable development.
